About Me

You know your dog better than anyone and you have a full camera roll to prove it. The problem is your photos don't quite reflect the magic you feel when you look at your dog. I can help.
I started taking photographs because I fell in love with a scared rescue dog.
She was saved from the dog meat trade in Korea and, like many dogs with that history, the world felt overwhelming at first. In the beginning, we stayed close to home.
Photography gave us a reason to go a little farther afield, trying out new trails, quiet beaches, places away from traffic and flashing lights where things felt more manageable. Taking photos became a way of paying attention in a overstimulating electronic world. I started watching the light, the seasons, and to the way my pup responded to being in the world.
Over time, she became braver and started enjoying new experiences more (although she still hates camping).
My journey into photography is inseparable from her journey home.
That experience shapes how I work. I know that confidence looks different for every dog. Sometimes bravery is bold and obvious. Sometimes it’s simply standing still in a new place. I have a special love of rescues who have reclaimed their place in the world.
I’m based in Vancouver, BC (born and raised in Victoria, with ten formative years in Whitehorse). I am addicted to black coffee, love yoga and paddling, and any day that I get to spend outside with a dog is a good day.
Everyone is welcome here.
